Public art is increasingly in demand in progressive cities all around the world. There are many instances where the sculptural statement becomes an unofficial center of the city, a popular landmark, transforming our architectural and emotional perception of the location in question. INTECO takes notice of the lack of public art in Moscow and, as a company possessing sites that can house large-scale sculptures, strives to support talented artists. In 2019, we began establishing our corporate collection by commissioning the young and gifted Dmitri Aske to create the sculpture Guard. This was the first street sculpture for both the artist and INTECO. Two years have passed since then, and now two artworks by Dmitri adorn not just the INTECO residential complexes but also Red Square – the main square of Russia. This is a happy development.

As real estate developers, we realize the importance of the cultural context that surrounds us and that we interact with constantly. That is why we are not limiting ourselves to our corporate collection of public art. We are providing big-name Russian artists with an opportunity to express themselves freely in the format of large-scale artworks.

By joining forces with curators, we are adding a page to the historic encyclopedia on the development of contemporary public art. We focus society’s attention on the importance of including contemporary art in our everyday surroundings and enrich INTECO residential complexes with unique museum-quality exhibits.
